Emily Mercedes Rich is a Chicago-based Floridian writer. Her work has appeared in F Newsmagazine, Curious Theatre Branch's RhinoFest, and at Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble. She was awarded a teaching fellowship from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she teaches creative writing and core studio practices. She holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She lives with her dog, Dot, and her partner, Sarah.
